Ses personnage ne sont ni riches, ni de la classe moyenne mais pauvres et affamés!
Charles n'a pas eu une enfance facile, toute sa famille est parti en prison à cause des dettes de sont père. Lui a dit travailler dans une factory dix heures par jours pour gagner 30p par semaine. Charles s'ait servie de cette horrible expérience pour écriré " David copperfield et Oliver twist "
Diekens à commencer en tant que journaliste dont il est vite devenu l'un des meilleure. Dans ces histoire les gentille etaient très gentille et les méchants très méchant. Il a commencer à être populaire dans beaucoup de pays et il voyageais beaucoup. Il est mort d'un seul coup en 1870
