La majorité de pays de l’Union Européenne s’est mise d’accord sur une répartition des migrants.
C'est une répartition pays par pays. Cela se fait en fonction de la population des différents États membres et de leur puissance économique.
Ainsi l'Allemagne doit accueillir 31.400 personnes, la France 24.000, ce qui représente quatre migrants pour 10.000 habitants.

Certains pays accueillent trois migrants pour 10.000 habitants, comme l'Espagne avec un total de près de 15.000 migrants. La Bulgarie, c'est 1.600 migrants, soit deux pour 10.000 habitants.
Certains pays n'apparaissent pas dans cette répartition comme le Royaume-Uni, l'Irlande et le Danemark.
Et également, l'Italie, la Hongrie et la Grèce qui n’ont plus la possibilité d’accueillir les migrants.
En Europe centrale, plusieurs pays ne sont pas du tout d'accord avec les quotas proposés. C'est le cas de la Slovaquie, de la République Tchèque, de Roumanie et de la Hongrie.


Au début, les pays de l'Union étaient d'accord pour répartir les migrants, mais sans être forcés. Tout devait se faire sur le volontariat et les pays se donnaient deux ans pour agir.
Mais pendant l’été le nombre de migrants à augmenter. Et le monde a découvert la photo de cet enfant Syrien mort sur une plage Turque, ce qui a changé la situation.
